Sam Kas-Mikha, “Master Kaz”
Step into greatness with Grand Master Kaz at Family Karate! With a martial arts journey that began at just 10 years old, Grand Master Kaz quickly rose through the ranks, mastering Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, and kickboxing. By 16, he claimed three amateur kickboxing titles, and by 18, he was dominating the professional kickboxing scene, winning titles across Michigan and the Northeast. He then shifted to professional boxing, where he remained undefeated, showcasing his unmatched skill in three victorious fights at the Palace.
Grand Master Kaz’s unparalleled career boasts over 40 undefeated professional kickboxing bouts, 160 exhibition matches, and a dedication to constant growth in martial arts. He founded Family Karate in 1990 to share his deep knowledge and passion with students of all ages. Holding a prestigious 10th-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, along with advanced ranks in Kenpo Ninja, Aikido, Judo, and Jujitsu, Grand Master Kaz is the ultimate mentor for those seeking discipline, skill, and the spirit of a true martial artist.
Robert Chang, “Master Chang”
Master Chang started karate under the instruction of Master Kaz at the age of 16. Master Chang currently holds his 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Chang has been instructing alongside Master Kaz for over 30 years and has had 20 exhibition kickboxing bouts in his career.
Erwin Coronel “Master Coronel”
Master Coronel started karate under the instruction of Master Kaz at the age of 11. Master Coronel currently holds his 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Coronel has been instructing alongside Master Kaz for over 30 years and has had 20 exhibition kickboxing bouts in his career.
